About Me
I grew up in Victoria, BC (Canada) where I learned to love the outdoors and developed an interest in plant diversity and collections. I completed my BSc in Biology (2011) at the University of Victoria (Victoria, Canada), and my MSc in the Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants (2014) at the University of Edinburgh/Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (Edinburgh, Scotland). I received my PhD in Botany from the University of Florida where I studied plant evolution and biogeography in the Soltis lab (2015-2020). I worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Drs. Anne Bruneau and Etienne Laliberté at the Université de Montréal from 2020-2023.
